Sixteen Admitted to Pre-law Society

The special election which was called for Monday, November 4, has been postponed unt i l Tuesday, November 12, It was made known today. T h e elect ion was for the purpose ot fi l l ing the position of Assis tant Busine s s Manager of the Threshe r and to consider a proposed amendment to the const i tut ion of the Student ' s Association. The decision to postpone the election a week was made in order tha t the S tudent Council would have t ime to consider the applicat ions of the candida tes for the office of assistant bus iness manager of the Thresher. T h e Threshe r vacancy is a result of the fa i lure of Claude Hrookslilre, who won tha t position in the spr ing elections, to re turn to Hlce this fall. Pet i t ions f rom those who expect to be cand ida tes mus t be signed by twentyfive m e m b e r s of the s tudent association, and must be in the hands ot F ranc i s Vesey or John Ridley of the S tpden t Council not la ter than Monday, November 4. The proposed change In the constitut ion concerns the appoin tment of the t r e shman member of the Student Council.
